Restaurant Style Steak

- 16 ounce New York Wagyu Steak
- Sea salt
- Black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, peeled
- 2 tablespoons Black and Bolyard brown butter
Take the steak out of the fridge 20 minutes before you cook it.
Season the steak generously on both sides with salt and pepper.
Place a large cast iron skillet on high heat.
When the pan is smoking hot, add 2 tbsp of EVOO.
Place the steak in the center of the skillet and do not touch it!
Cook the steak on each side for 2-3 minutes.
Gauge the temperature with your finger, watch the video for instructions.
Move the steak to the top of the pan, add one crushed clove of garlic, and 2 tbsp of Black and Bolyard brown butter.
Bathe the steak in butter for one minute.
Take the steak out of the pan, and let it rest for 1-2 minutes.
Slice the steak into 1 inch thick slices.
Pour pan juices onto the steak for maximum flavor.
