Chocolate Covered Pretzels
Servings: 12 bags
Ingredients
Chocolate Covered Pretzels
- 1 bag organic seven whole grain pretzel sticks
- 1 bag sourdough pretzels
- 2 cups 60% cacao bittersweet chocolate
- 2 each candy canes
- ¼ cup holiday sprinkles
Packaging
- 12 transparent plastic mini gift bags
- Ribbons
Instructions
Chocolate Covered Pretzels
- In a food processor, crush the candy canes until fine coarse.
- To make a double boiler, add 2 cups of water to a medium sized pot. Boil the water on low heat.
- Place chocolate in a heatproof bowl and melt by setting the bowl over the pot of simmering water.
- The steam rising from boiling water will melt the chocolate. Melt for 5-6 minutes or until smooth.
- Start dipping each pretzel in the chocolate, and layering on a sheet tray covered with wax or non-stick silpat.
- Sprinkle with holiday sprinkles.
- Repeat these three steps until all the pretzels are covered in chocolate and sprinkles.
- Cool pretzels in the fridge until chocolate is firm (15-20 minutes).Yield: 120 pretzels.
Packaging
- Bag 8-10 pretzels per bag.
- Tie the bags with colored ribbons of your choice!
